Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission, Southern California Regional Representative provides oversight and management for a major function related to the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of undergraduate students to the University of San Francisco. This position is regionally based in Southern California and is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating activities to support first-year and transfer recruitment. This position will also support the execution of virtual event programming for prospective, admitted, and deposited students.

Major function areas include, but are not limited to, regional recruitment strategy, counselor relations and events, virtual admission programming, and targeted outreach to diverse student populations. Reporting to the Director of Admission, Transfer and Campus Engagement, the Assistant Director will work collaboratively with admission colleagues and is charged with providing the highest quality student experience to achieve enrollment goals. The ideal candidate will be an experienced regional admission representative who thrives working independently and has strong knowledge of the Southern California educational landscape.

Job Responsibilities:

Extensive travel required. The Assistant Director will visit between 80-120 high schools in the fall, attend college fairs and community college visits, meet individually with students and families, and plan events for prospective and admitted students across Southern California.

Manage all aspects of regional recruitment, including territory strategy, travel planning, application review, and yield initiatives.

Support the coordination of virtual undergraduate admission events, including online information sessions, panels, and webinars. Develop and evaluate programming in collaboration with colleagues to engage a broad audience of prospective students and families.

Counsel prospective students and families about admission, affordability, academic programs, and student life at USF.

Conduct holistic application review and make admission decisions for first-year and transfer applicants.

Assess and analyze the effectiveness of recruitment and yield efforts using data and market research tools.

Contribute to the yearly planning and evaluation of recruitment strategies, events, and overall admission programming.

Assist with on-campus programs and yield events, and attend major campus-based recruitment events and trainings as assigned.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree with three or more years experience in admissions, student services, or other student support roles required.

Previous experience as a regional admission counselor strongly preferred.

Demonstrated public speaking experience and excellent written and oral communication skills.

Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.

Experience with virtual programming and CRM/event platforms (e.g., Slate, Zoom, Microsoft
Office/Google Workspace) preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, diverse, and team-oriented environment.

Strong customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Must be willing and able to work some evenings and weekends.

Understanding of and commitment to USF's mission and values.

Salary Range :
$70,000 - 80,000 annualized; commensurate with experience.
